The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina will name its Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources after Governor Dikko Umaru Radda as a mark of honour and recognition of significant contributions to educational advancement.
The announcement came during a courtesy visit to Government House Katsina, where Professor Aminu Ado Kafur, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, represented Vice-Chancellor Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi in presenting plans for the university’s ninth convocation ceremony.
The faculty naming and commissioning ceremony will take place on November 1, 2024, alongside the pre-convocation lecture, setting the stage for the main convocation events. Governor Radda will personally commission the facility.
The convocation ceremony will feature the conferment of honourary doctorate degrees on three distinguished Nigerians: Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamako, and Abubakar Abubakar Kabir. The conferment of this title reflects the institution’s commitment to recognizing national leaders who have contributed to Nigeria’s development.
