Speaking during the solemn visit, Malam Ribadu expressed the collective grief of the national security community, “On behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the National Security Council, I extend our deepest condolences over the passing of your revered mother, Hajiya Safara’u.”

The National Security Adviser described the loss of a mother as one of life’s most profound trials. Adding that “Hajiya Safara’u was not only your pillar but a matriarch whose wisdom and grace undoubtedly shaped the leader you are today. In this moment of grief, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of unity in compassion.”

Addressing newsmen, shortly after the condolence visit at the Government House, Malam Ribadu pronounced, “We have seen improvement in the security situation in the state.”

The NSA also expressed optimism about continued progress, adding that “everyone can testify that things are now getting better and expressed confidence that God willing we are getting to a point when all will celebrate our peaceful living as people get their life back.”

While commending Governor Radda for his commitment to addressing security challenges, Ribadu acknowledged that “no one can say peace had completely been restored because the situation took time.”
