“The transformation in the health sector in Yobe state is visibly impressive and deserving of the award.
“The award is intended to spur Your Excellency to continue serving your people diligently with the excellence achieved in the health sector” he said.

Gov. Buni commended the paper for recognizing the achievements in the state especially in the health sector.
“l am happy you were there yourselves, and your judgement was informed by what you saw on an eye witness account” he said.
“We established 140 Primary Healthcare Centers, upgraded six Primary Health centers to General Hospitals, four General Hospitals to Specialist hospitals. Re-equipped the Teaching hospital with State-of-the-art facilities, and established Nigeria’s largest maternal and child care center all in a bid to bring Healthcare delivery to the doorstep of the people” he said.
Governor Buni dedicated the award to the people of Yobe state for investing their mandate in him, and and the workers for putting in their best to serve the people.
“l want to assure you that this award will inspire us more to serve our people better” he said.
The Governor called on the media to give equal attention to developments in the state and country.
“You should also look at the positive sides of the stories coming out of our states and country, and not to over concentrate on the negativities.
“Some of the reports were never verified, others are past experiences that are no news but, only counter productive to economic development and national growth” Buni stressed.
“We all have responsibilities to build our nation, encourage resilience and inspire the leadership for good governance” he emphasized.
