Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates all children, especially those in Niger State, on the celebration of this year’s Children’s Day.
The Governor in a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, acknowledges that children deserve the best of everything in life.
He says giving them the best at the earliest stages of their lives would go a long way in ensuring a good, peaceful and sustainable society.
The farmer Governor decries how the negligence of some parents have resulted in moral decadence, and all manner of social vices in the society.
He also expresses concern over the various forms of violence and hard labour the children are subjected to,promising that his administration will ensure adherence of rights of the children
The farmer Governor then enjoins parents, teachers and all relevant stakeholders to reassess their commitments to the upbringing of children, with the view to improving on it for a sound society.
