The changes follow a minor cabinet reshuffle in which the Governor relieved Hajiya Zainab Babantakko of her duties as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.
In the same vein, Governor Bala Mohammed approved and sworned in four new appointments aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across the state. The appointees include:

Mohammed congratulated the appointees, even as he charged them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and commitment to the ideals of transparency, accountability, as well as service to the people of Bauchi State.
He, warned them against abuse of office or pursuit of personal interests above public good.
The governor advised the new commissioner, Hajiya Hadiza Abdulkadir Kango, who swapped portfolios with the former Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration, Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammani to align herself with the government’s policy direction and work harmoniously with her permanent secretary in achieving the ministry’s objectives.
