The Adamawa State Government has announced the cancellation of all activities planned for the Cross-Over Night scheduled for 31 December 2025 to 1 January 2026 at the Unity Flyover, Jimeta–Yola.
A statement by Humwashi Wonosikou, the Chief Press Secretary to the Adamawa State Governor, said the decision followed credible security reports.
“The safety of residents remains the government’s top priority, and efforts are ongoing in collaboration with security agencies to maintain peace and stability across the state.
“Residents, especially those in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas, are advised to stay alert, avoid crowded places, and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
“Further updates will be communicated when necessary,” the statement said.
