Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah on Sunday visited Chief Jim Nwobodo, former Governor of the old Anambra State, former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and former Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Governor Mbah joined Chief Nwobodo as he commissioned the new Obi in his country home at Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South LGA.
“It was a moment rich in history and symbolism. Chief Nwobodo remains one of the towering elder statesmen of our time, whose life of service helped lay enduring foundations for governance, culture, and political leadership in our state and beyond,” Governor Mbah said.
He added that “I was honoured to share in this occasion, which reminds us that true progress is built on respect for legacy, elders, and the institutions that hold our communities together.”
