The Bauchi State House of Assembly will on Wednesday screen and consider the confirmation of four commissioner-nominees submitted by Gov. Bala Mohammed.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman, announced this during plenary session on Tuesday in Bauchi.
The nominees are: Alhaji Muhammad Adamu from Kirfi Local Government Area, Ibrahim Baraya from Warji Local Government Area, Ya’u Bashir from Katagum Local Government Area and Madakin Gololo from Gamawa Local Government Area.
The House also considered and approved the votes and proceedings of its July 22 sitting after correcting some omissions, constituency details and the spelling errors in some members’ names.
The Majority Leader, Hon. Saleh Jibir, moved the motion for the approval of the votes and proceedings, while the Minority Leader, Hon. Bala Rishi, seconded it.
It was also announced that no petition was submitted against the nominees to the house. The House, thereafter, adjourned sitting to Wednesday. (NAN) (www.nanews.ng)
