Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA have averted a potential tragedy after recovering and neutralising explosive devices planted by terrorists along Magami – Hannutara – Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The troops, acting on credible intelligence, secured the affected area and conducted a thorough search during which they identified two spots planted with explosive devices.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was subsequently deployed to destroy one device and safely recovered and rendered the other harmless.
The troops have intensified patrols and surveillance in the area to safeguard residents and prevent further threats.
Members of the public have been urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency.
