Bandit terrorists have killed many people in Anka and Bukkuyum communities of Zamfara State.
The terrorists, riding on motorcycles, also set most of the communities they attacked on fire.
Sources told the BBC Hausa service that more 100 people have been killed by the terrorists between Tuesday and Thursday. One of the sources said he counted eight corpses in one of the villages.
The Zamfara State Police Command has yet to issue a statement on the attack.
Among the dead are several vigilante members, known locally as Yan sa kai, who tried to stop the attackers.
