The sum of over N2.1 billion has been earmarked by the Sokoto state government for the purchase of houses that will serve as its liaison office in Kaduna and N292m for rural electrification of some rural areas of the state.
On the other hand the sum of N99.7 million will be spent on the reactivation of the electrification of Alkammu village in Wurno local government area of the state, while the remaining N192 million will be spent on the electrification of Bakaya- Romon Sarki- Romon Liman villages in Tambuwal local government area of the state.
A statement by Governor Aminu Tambuwal’s spokesman Muhammad Bello said the house to serve as the liaison office is an estate, comprising of four houses, located at Alkali road in Kaduna city.
The state Commissioner of Information, Hon. Isah Bajini Galadanci, who briefed journalists on the outcome of the meeting presided over by Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, also said the council has approved the review of the law on revenue integration in the state.
