Ningi council chairman dismisses suspension rumours as mischievous

Ningi Local Government Chairman Alhaji Mamuda Hassan Tabla has debunked a report by an online medium and social media alleging his suspension from office.

He described the rumour as unfounded, mischievous, politically motivated and fake.

“My performance as elected executive Chairman is unassailable. My link with my constituents, councilors and entire people of Ningi Local Government is unbreakable. The Leadership of my party, my people, have total faith and belief in my abilities.

“My further progress in politics is in the hands of God. No amount of fake news can stop what has been divinely ordained,” Mamuda said, adding that his attention was drawn to the report  on social media and online medium.

“I would have ignored this patently laughable and contradictory hatchet job but for the fact that the undiscerning may fall for this deception if the facts are not put straight,” he said.

He explained that “in their haste to execute their devilish agenda, they failed to get their facts right. As I am talking to you I am in my office, on my seat discharging my official functions and responsibilities harmoniously as executive Chairman of Ningi.”

Mamuda said he was aware that the news of the so-called “suspension” was the handiwork of political forces bent on degrading our political stature and positioning themselves for higher office, saying they are mistaken.

He said since assumption of office as Chairman, he has adopted the inclusive and participatory approach and has been transparent and accountable to all.

On the issue of allegations of Lame Burra Game reserve forest, the chairman said various committees have been set up by the Government and nothing incriminating was found against him.

He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his steadfastness in steering the affairs if the state, even as he advised the Nigerian Union of Journalists to take punitive measures against their members who don’t cross check their facts before going to press and threaten to meet with stakeholders to seek for redress.
