Yobe East endorses Gaidam for Senate for 2nd term

Political, youth, and women leaders and others from Yobe Zone A (Yobe East) have converged on the Damaturu Cultural Center where they endorsed Senator Ibrahim Gaidam to continue as senator for a second term in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Gaidam is the immediate past governor of Yobe State replaced former Governor Bukar Abba Ibrahim at the Senate in 2015.

Yobe State Commissioner of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation Abdullahi Bego, who served as Gaidam’s spokesperson for over ten years, disclosed this on his Facebook page on Thursday.

“The endorsement of the senator today follows various caucuses held in each of the seven local government areas of Yobe East where political stakeholders in the APC agreed to support Gaidam to run (and serve) for a second term.

“Stakeholders were enamored of His Excellency’s wide ranging constituency interventions across the senatorial district, citing his demonstrable and ongoing concern for the people and their welfare.

“Damaturu local government chairman Hon. Bukar Adamu said “there is not a three-month period that passes without a project from Senator Gaidam for my local government to which I would be called to participate in the commissioning”.

“The story is the same across the other local government areas of Yobe Zone A.

“People are generally grateful for what His Excellency Senator Gaidam is doing on their behalf as a senator and are fired up about what he will continue to do for them going forward,” Bego said.
