
The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 elections.
Emefiele picked the N100 million forms from the party’s organising secretary at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, on Friday morning.

Emefiele was appointed by former president Goodluck Jonathan, hours after sacking Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
Emefiele, a former Managing Director of Zenith Bank made history when he was reappointed by President Muhammad Buhari in 2019 for a new five-year tenure.
Emefiele now joins a list of other aspirants such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Governors Yahaya Bello, Dave Umahi, Mohammed Badaru, former speaker Dimeji Bankole and a host of ministers for the APC presidential ticket.
