Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has declared Thursday the 30th of June and Friday 1st of July as public work free days.
“This is to enable state Civil servant and political appointees to participate in the voter registration exercise,” according to a statement on the state government’s twitter handle on Wednesday..
“All Commissioners, Special Advisers and top government officials are directed to go to their various local governments with the view to sensitising and mobilising the general public to register and obtain their voters cards before the closing date announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),” it added.
