Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri picks a seasoned technocrat and academician, Prof Kaletapwa G. Farauta as his running mate for the forth coming 2023 Gubernatorial elections in the State.
Fintiri is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State.

Professor Kaletapwa is the Vice Chancellor Adamawa State University Mubi and hails from Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Dateline Nigeria reports that before Prof Kaletapwa’s nomination, there were reports of a strained relationship between Fintiri and his current deputy Crowther Seth.
Professor Kaletapwa has been the Vice-Chancellor of ADSU since she was appointed in that capacity in February 2020.
Previously, she served as Chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) and then as Commissioner for Education.
She had earlier been a lecturer at the Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola.
