Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare has visited the scene of crime where three siblings were murdered and stored in deep freezer in Nnewichi, Nnewi, Anambra State.
The incident which happened over the weekend went viral on after the parents of the deceased children, Mr Udochukwu and Mrs Chikazor Ejezie came back from their respective day’s endeavors and met the door leading to the house wide opened, an unusual occurrence since the children always locked the doors whenever they went out to play.
They further explained that after searching for the kids by a search party, without success, in despair the deep freezer was opened where the dead bodies of the kids were found.
Speaking to some members of staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi where the bodies of the deceased were deposited, Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo stated the state government’s resolve to give hope and succor to the bereaved parents and assured that the Soludo Led Administration will not relent until the suspect is fished out and dealt with according to the stipulations of the law.
Some neighbours who spoke to newsmen described the incident as horrible and prayed God to console the parents of the deceased.
