APC clears Badaru to run for party’s presidential ticket

The Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and one of the aspirants in the 2023 Presidential Race, has been given the official nod by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest in the forthcoming Presidential Primary Elections of the party in Nigeria.

Governor Badaru was cleared by the presidential screening committee of the party to fully participate in the June 6th-8th presidential primaries after verifying his membership status, financial status, academic credentials, and other requirements for a presidential candidate as spelled out in the constitution.

Auwal D. Sankara, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Jigawa State on New Media, said this in a statement on Monday.

This screening and clearance put to bed speculations that Governor Badaru has stepped down for another Presidential Aspirant on the platform of the party.

Governor Badaru was among the 28 APC Presidential Aspirants and we are hopeful he will clinch the party ticket due to the massive support he is garnering from party faithfuls, supporters and relevant stakeholders in the country.
