
The Commander 33 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe has presented tokens to some soldiers who sustained various degrees of injuries in the course of service to the nation which made them physically disabled at the moment.
General Egbe also extended the token presentation to some young soldiers for their level of commitment in carrying out their roles in the Brigade.
He said the Nigerian Army is proud of them, and will not neglect them and advised the troops of the Brigade to remain professional and committed in their service to the nation, especially in aid to civil authority.
A statement signed by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations 33 Artillery Brigade, Lieutenant Atang Solomon said the ommander gave the advise during a first ever organised luncheon with troops of the Brigade held at Vulcan Officers’ Mess, Shadawanka Barracks Bauchi.
The commander maintained that the token presentation was meant to motivate them to do more and also inspire others to do better.

He said the event was organised to honour the troops for the commitment and professionalism displayed when the Brigade hosted and won the championship of the 3 Division’s Warrant Officers and Senior Non-commissioned Officers Inter-Brigade Competition 2024; successful participation of the Brigade in the 2024 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) in Jos, provision of security to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja when he visited Bauchi among others.

Brigadier General Egbe expressed appreciation to the General Officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (GOC/Comd OPSH), Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, for his direction and support in achieving the successes.
He further thanked the COAS, Lt. General Lagbaja for his leadership style and commitment to ensuring that troops are motivated to perform their roles professionally.
