
The 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi has commenced training for the junior and middle level officers of the 3 Division Operations Planning Cadre 2025 to enhance their skills and proficiency in joint and single service operation planning process.
The theme of the event is: “Leadership Capacity Building: A Panacea for Operational Effectiveness” and participants for the planning Cadre were drawn from formations and units of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force as well as other security agencies
Speaking during the opening ceremony at the 33 Artillery Brigade Officers Mess, the General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigeria Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (GOC/Comd OPSH), Major General Eyitayo Oyinlola represented by the Commandant Nigerian Army Armoured School Maj Gen AH Ahmed said that the training is designed to improve inter-agency cooperation and understanding in order to foster unity of effort in joint operations for national security.
He maintained that the Cadre is further aimed at shaping and refreshing the minds of participants on their responsibilities as junior and middle cadre commanders in the efficient management of personnel under them.
He explained that the training was organized in line with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General OO Oluyede Nigerian Army Medal, which is “To Consolidate the Transformation of the Nigerian Army Towards Bequeathing a Well-Motivated and Combat-Ready Force that can Effectively Discharge its Constitutional Responsibilities Within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment”.
The representative of the GOC/Comd OPSH advised the participants to utilize this golden opportunity provided by the Chief of Army Staff to gain more knowledge from experienced resource persons during the four-day training.
The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed who was represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs,Hon Ibrahim Gambo Galadima appreciated the GOC/Comd OPSH for choosing Bauchi to host the event.
Governor Bala assured the GOC of his administration’s support to all security agencies in the state.
The Governor said that the good synergy between the Bauchi State Government and the Nigeria Army is a testament to the governor’s passion for the security of lives and property in the state.

Highlights of the opening ceremony included commissioning of the newly remodeled Quarter Guard by the representative of the GOC/Comd OPSH, as well as the commissioning of the renovated Squash Court by the representative of Bauchi State Governor.
The projects were carried out by the Commander 33 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General UG Simon. The event also featured the presentation of souvenirs to dignitaries who grace the occasion. in the state and across the nation.
