Atyap hosts buffet in honour of Defence Minister Musa

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, today represented the Governor, Senator Dr. Uba Sani, at the Atyab Buffet organised in honour of the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa.

In remarks she delivered on his behalf, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, commended General Musa’s exemplary leadership, describing it as one anchored on the strength of character, courage, conscience, and inclusiveness.

He noted that leadership is never accidental but earned through consistent dedication and service.

The governor identified three core values that propelled General Musa to the pinnacle of his career: preparation, principle, and patriotism. Preparation, he said, ensured readiness long before the call to serve; principle provided steadiness in moments of difficulty; while patriotism placed national interest above personal comfort, and duty above self.

He expressed the pride of Kaduna State in General Musa for bringing honour and distinction to the State.

Earlier in his remarks, General Christopher Gwabin Musa commended Governor Uba Sani for his sustained peace efforts and urged the people to cooperate with the government, stressing that lasting peace cannot be attained by the government alone.

General Musa warned against bitterness, describing it as dangerous, and advocated forgiveness as a pathway to reconciliation.

He encouraged the people to focus on shared values and common interests rather than issues that divide them.

In his address, the Paramount Chief of Zangon Kataf Chiefdom, Sir Dominic Yahaya Gambo, prayed for sustained peace in the Chiefdom.

He also announced the conferment of traditional titles on prominent sons and daughters of the Chiefdom, as well as other distinguished individuals.
