Alhaji Badaru Abubakar further explained that with the state being among the largest producers of rice across the country, prices should be cheaper for people than other states in Nigeria.
He said every citizen has a role to play in order to ease the hardship on the masses, urging the rice processing companies to reduce their cost price.
Badaru Abubakar also appealed to the marketers not to sabotage the reduction of the price or divert the parboiled rice to other states. (Radio Nigeria)
