Bafarawa, NMA condole Wamakko over death of nephew

Former Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, on Sunday, condoled paid a condolence visit to his successor, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, on the death of his nephew Dr Bello Magatakarda Wamakko.

Bafarawa was accompanied on the condolence visit by a high powered delegation consisting of his political associates, family members and aides.

He was personally received by Wamakko and former Sokoto State Deputy Governor and Executive Secretary, Police Trust Fund, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, among others.

Special prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased, who died on Saturday, were also offered, led by the Chief Imam of Uthman Bin Affan Jumaat Mosque, Gawon Nama, Sokoto, Sheikh Yahuza Shehu Tambuwal.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Sokoto State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), led by its Chairman, Dr Umar Mohammed, has also condoled Wamakko on the demise of Dr Bello.

Mohammed, who described the deceased as a very committed, loyal and diligent member of the NMA, said they were shocked by the sad news of his death.

Mohammed also prayed the Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannat firdaus, as well as give Wamakko and other family members the formidable fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Responding, Wamakko commended the NMA members for the invaluable condolence visit.
