Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago condoles with the Estu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. Yahaya Abubakar and the Entire Nupe Kingdom over the death of the Makaman Nupe, Alh. Idris Abdulrahman.
The title holder died on Friday in Kaduna and his janaza (funeral prayer) was observed at the Misbahul Islam jumaah mosque in Unguwar Rimi in Kaduna. The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of the mosque Sheikh Aminu Kuwait.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor describes the loss of Makaman Nupe as colossal to the Nupe Kingdom in particular and the state in general.
He recounts the many contributions of the deceased in promoting the culture and tradition of the Nupes.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago observes that the death of Makaman Nupe will create a vacuum only Allah can fill it considering the selfless service he rendered to the people.
He prays that Allah will reward the deceased with Aljanna Firdausi and comfort his immediate and extended family members, Etsu Nupe, members of the Bida Emirate Council and the entire people of Nupe land.
