Bago inaugurates three projects executed by info minister in Niger

The projects are rural electrification, a 500 capacity Jumma’at Mosque and an Islamic School

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru has inaugurated 3 projects in Malagi Community executed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

The projects are rural electrification, which has connected Malagi Community to the National Grid, a 500 capacity Jumma’at Mosque and an Islamic School.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago while addressing the people of Malagi Community, described the projects as unprecedented and life changing, for the people of the community.

He commended the Minister for his efforts which he said are complementary to the State Government, and called on other political office holders to take a leaf from the Minister.

The Farmer Governor equally harped on the need for the people to unite, adding that unity is a strong pillar for growth and development of any society.

He promised to construct a Rice processing factory and a cattle market in Malagi, while reassuring the people of more dividends of democracy in the community.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago was also at the renovated Malagi Primary School, where he promised to upgrade it to a Junior Secondary School.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, in his remarks, said the gesture is aimed at improving the lives of the people and connect them to the wider world.

He urged the people to be patient with the present administration, as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is initiating policies that will be beneficial to them.

The Minister also enjoined the youths to remain law-abiding, and acquire skills that will make them self-reliant and contribute to nation-building.

He commended the Farmer Governor for his giant strides in developing the State and assured him of his support at all times.

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. Yahaya Abubakar, applauded the Minister for executing such projects that would last for generations, pointing out that he has written his name in the History book of Malagi.

Director-General of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ali Mohammed, who spoke on behalf of other Agencies under the Ministry of Information, said they are proud of the remarkable and unmatched achievements of the Minister.

Gbako Council Chairman, Hassan Muhammad, and the District Head of Lemu who doubles as the Nakodin Nupe, Muhammad Bello, in their separate remarks, appreciated the noble initiative of the Minister and the support from the Farmer Governor to the people at the grassroot.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago, the Minister, Etsu Nupe, Emir of Agaie and other dignitaries thereafter observed their Jumma’at prayer in the newly inaugurated Mosque in Malagi.
