The Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Danhamidu, who died on Monday night after a brief illness, has been buried.
His janaza (funeral prayer) took place at 11:00am on Tuesday in accordance with Islamic rites. The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Bakori Sheikh Sa’ad Sani Imam.
A large crowd turned out for the prayer, reflecting the deep respect and admiration many had for the late chairman.
Danhamidu was widely known as a humble, dedicated, and selfless leader who worked tirelessly for the development of his community.
Those who worked closely with him described him as a man of integrity who led with sincerity, compassion, and a strong commitment to peace and progress at the grassroots level.
Prayers were offered for Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
His passing is seen as a huge loss not just for the people of Bakori, but for the entire Katsina State, where he earned a reputation as a bridge-builder and a dependable public servant.

The turnout spoke volumes about the impact Alhaji Aminu Danhamidu had on his people and the deep sense of loss his death has brought to the community.
