Jazuli left Kaduna for Abuja since Tuesday afternoon, but he was neither seen nor heard from until their bodies and vehicle were found today Friday.
“They were found after three days of search. Their vehicle fell at the bridge near Jere. They have been buried in Jere after funeral prayers,” a source said.
Commenting on his Facebook page, Aliyu Nuhu said “The bodies of Suleiman Jazuli and driver have been found and buried in Jere according to Islamic rites. May Allah have repose on their souls and Grant them aljannat fiddaus.”
Nuhu had in an earlier post said “It is with shock I received the sad news of the disappearance of Suleiman Jazuli on his way to Abuja from Dutse Jigawa State. This is the third day without news.
“There are conflicting information. Some said he was kidnapped and some said the car fell inside river in Jere. The Jere accident is the most reliable as the governor of Jigawa State has been reported to be in Jere today with NEMA, FRSC and Julius Berger searching for the vehicle.
“Kidnappers normally leave vehicles behind. It is possible Suleiman met with an accident and fell into the river with the car and driver. May Allah deliver them alive. This is a sad moment for his family and friends. Let us put them in our prayers please.”
Nuhu said the government should do something about the Jere bridge. “Sometimes back NNPC officials perished in the same spot. There were many unreported deaths also. Julius Berger should not wait for the construction work to reach the area. They should carry out immediate repairs to avert future occurances,” he said.
