
The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State Mr Iliya Habila and the new Special Task Force (STF) Commander Major KC Ogbonna have described peace and peace building as very necessary in ensuring mutual co-existence, self-actualization and development in the area.
They stated this when the new STF Commander posted to Tafawa Balewa paid a courtesy visit to the council chairman today Monday in Bogoro.
Receiving the Commander, Iliya Habila said “the attainment of the progress of any nation or community is largely dependent on the harmonious relationship existing between people of different backgrounds irrespective of ethno-religious and political differences.

“I want to remind you that there’s no way people or nation can progress economically or otherwise without peace.”
He said Bogoro is the most peaceful local government in Bauchi State and pledged to support the commander on sustenance of peace and peace building so that development can be made.
The STF Commander Major Ogbonna said he was posted to the area to contribute in the sustenance of peace and to seek for more cooperation from all stakeholders in the area in order to succeed.
Ogbonna pledged to respond to anything on security within five minutes in order to address it and urged the community to help them with any useful information that will help them to maintain the security of lives and properties in the area.
In a vote of thanks, the Village Head of Bogoro, Mr Nuhu Tafida, assured the newly posted commander and the council chairman that traditional rulers and community leaders in the area will work in synergy with them to achieve sustainable peace.
