Chief of Air Staff, humanitarian minister now husband and wife

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq are now husband and wife.

Dateline Nigeria learnt that the two love birds tied the knot on Friday at a mosque in Maitama district, Abuja. The event was lowkeyed attended by few representatives.

It was also gathered that Sadique and Sadiya had been in a relationship for over a year and would have tied the knot earlier but for the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sadiya was a former Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons before she was made a minister representing Zamfara State in 2019.

The minister, who will be 46 years old on November 5, was rumoured to be in a relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari last before it turned out to be untrue.

The Chief of Air Staff is from Bauchi State and is already married to two wives with children.
