In a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Deputy Superintendent of Customs Herbert Dzungwenen, on 27 June 2024, immediately after the visit by Ondo State Commissioner of Police Abayomi Oladipo and his delegation at the Headquarters of Nigeria Customs Service Ondo/Ekiti Command in Akure, CP Abayomi expressed satisfaction with the reception and praised the swift response of Comptroller Morenikeji Bewaji to his visitation request.

He explained the strategic importance of collaboration in combating criminal activities across Ondo State, stating, “Intelligence sharing is key in our operations because prevention is cheaper than the detection of crime.”
