The death has occurred of Malam Fatima, the mother of Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata, who was abducted more than two years ago from his residence in Barnawa area of Kaduna metropolis.
Dateline Nigeria reports that she died on Tuesday at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna where she was taken to as a result of an undisclosed illness.
Dadiyata, a lecturer at the Federal University Dutsen-Ma, has been missing since his abduction, and his family members have been living with the uncertainty about his fate.
