The Dankaden Zazzau and District Head of Gabasawa in Kaduna, Alhaji Jibril Muhammad , has passed on.
Dateline Nigeria learnt that the Zazzau emirate title holder died Monday morning at a hospital in Kaduna after a protracted illness.
His janaza (funeral prayer) held by 2pm inside the premises of the Nurul Islam school, close to his Benue Road residence in Kaduna.
Former Governors of Kaduna State Ahmed Makarfi and Ramalan Yero were among the crowd of mourners at the funeral.
The late district head is survived by three wives and over 20 children. Among his children is a former member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Nazifi Jibril.
