Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has revoked titles of 52 plots within Kaduna Metropolis for various contravention of terms and conditions of Right of Occupancy.
This is contained in a statement by the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), saying the action is based on the power conferred on the governor under the Land Use Act of 1978.
Dateline Nigeria observes that some of the affected plots are situated on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway (also known as the Western bypass), Barnawa, Unguwar Sarki GRA, Industrial Layout and others.
Some of the affected owners are companies including Unity Bank, Arewa Textiles, NORTEX Nigeria Limited, TY Chemicals, Mutunchi Company, Conoil Plc, Borini Prono and Company, Total Steel Limited, Quarter House Properties Limited, Safa Foam Products Nigeria Limited and so on.
Individual owners affected include Hon Lawal Ibrahim Funtua, Mr A.A. Olukoye, Alhaji Aliko M. Mohammed, Alhaji Dahiru Danbala Ibrahim, Lt Col J.I. Akaager, AVM Shehu Suleiman Adamu, Haro Zego Aziz, Uchenna Dickson Orouh, Alhaji Usman Albishir, Benjamin Emmanuel Omale, Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Birma, and others
