Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has visited former Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola, and prominent cleric Pastor Tunde Bakare in Lagos.
Aregbesola, who has been involved in political and governance discussions, was a former governor of Osun State and a prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Pastor Tunde Bakare, a respected cleric, is a one-time presidential aspirant.
The meeting which came up just days after El-Rufai’s visit to former President, Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna, has sparked speculations on possible political strategies towards the 2027 elections.
The visit was disclosed via a post on X, by El-Rufai’s media adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Sunday, March 9.
The caption reads: “Malam Nasir #elrufai was in Lagos today to visit Ogbeni #raufaregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare.”
