Former Emir of Kano and Khalifa of Tijjaniyya in Nigeria Muhammadu Sanusi has led Muslim faithful to observe Eid el-Fitr prayer in Kaduna.
The Eid prayer held at the premises of the demolished Durbar Hotel due to the ongoing works inside Murtala Square, the traditional venue.

Sanusi arrived in Kaduna on Tuesday from Senegal where he was formally installed as the Khalifa of Tijjaniyya in Nigeria.
Dateline Nigeria reports that the former Kano emir had been frequenting Kaduna since his dethronement by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
