Former military administrator of Oyo State (September 1985 – July 1988) retired Brigadier General Tunji has passed on at the age of 77.
The late Olurin also served as Interim Administrator of Ekiti State (October 2006 – April 2007) following declaration of State of Emergency by the then President Olusegun Obasanjo administration.

He also contested for the Governorship of Ogun State in 2011.
The 1944-born General, who hailed from Ilaro in Ogun State, was Field Commander of ECOMOG Peacekeeping Force in Liberia from 1992 to 1993 during the First Liberian Civil War.
Olurin retired from service in 1993 and was a member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
