The Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo Gombe State has approved the appointment of Miss Eldah Epriam Buba as the “Acting Rector”of the institution.
A statement by Umaru D. Yusuf, Public Relations Officer of the Institution, principal officers were also approved by the council.
He said “This came as a result of expiration of the tenure of the erstwhile Management team on 14th May, 2025.
“Other appointees as approved by the council are Musa A. Saleh, Acting Regisrar; Abdulhamid Abubakar, Bursar;
Mustapha Jumare, Acting Librarian; Engr. Kabiru Abubakar Yahya, Acting Director Academic Planning; and Engr. Abeneza O. Tiklak, Director Physical Planning
The new acting Rector, Miss Eldah Epriam Buba is 48 years old and holds MSc in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey United Kingdom. She is presently doing her PhD Programme in Tourism and Event Management at the Afe Babalola University Ado-Ikiti, Ikiti State.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) UK, member of Adventure Tourism Research Association (ATRA) UK, member Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN).
She did her National Diploma (ND) and Highernational Diploma (HND) at the prestigious Kaduna Polytechnic.
Miss Eldah Epriam Buba worked with Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as a lecturer for many years before joining the service of the institution in April, 2021.
She is an experienced scholar and season administrator; she has published many journals and presented papers in local and international conferences.
She was HOD Tourism Management Technology, Dean Student affairs and member of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.
Miss Eldah Epriam Buba will head the affairs of the institution until a substantive rector is appointed.
