Fintiri gives out new vehicles to Adamawa traditional rulers

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 presented 10 brand new vehicles to traditional rulers in the state.

Fintiri said the vehicles are meant to help the traditional rulers in running and coordinating their affairs as chief custodians of the chiefdoms.

He said “the role of the traditional institution in fostering peace and unity in our communities cannot be overemphasized, therefore as a responsible Government, we have to carry them along to tap from their wealth of experience”.

The governor emphasized that his administration has to rely on the traditional rulers for building and maintaining the security and peace of the people because they are closer to people than anyone.

Speaking on behalf of the monarchs, the Lamido Adamawa Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, represented by the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, said the gift will remain indelible in their minds.

The monarchs also vowed to use the vehicles for the purpose they are meant for, and thanked the governor for his magnanimity to the traditional institution.

The emir reassured the governor of their unflinching support and loyalty and urged the people to cooperate with the government to enable them to develop the state of our dreams.

The vehicles include five Land Cruisers and five Hilux vans presented to the First Class Emirs and Chiefs in Government House Yola.
