Flood: Kaduna deputy gov leads delegation to Borno, extends support

Representing Governor Uba Sani, she delivered a message of sympathy to the government and citizens of Borno State, and presented N100m cheque to the governor

In a show of solidarity during a challenging period, Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani dispatched a delegation of senior government officials, led by his deputy Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, to the Borno State Government House today.

The purpose of the visit was to convey heartfelt condolences and support to the victims of the recent catastrophic floods that have devastated the state.

Dr. Balarabe, representing Governor Uba Sani, delivered a message of sympathy to the government and citizens of Borno State, offering prayers for the souls of those who lost their lives and for the speedy recovery of those who were injured in the disaster.

Additionally, she presented a cheque for 100 million Naira as Kaduna State’s contribution to the Borno State disaster relief fund, aimed at aiding the recovery and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the floods.

In response, Borno State Governor His Excellency Professor Umara Zulum expressed gratitude for the support extended by Kaduna State and thanked Governor Uba Sani for the swift assistance provided during this critical time.

The Kaduna State delegation, comprised esteemed officials including Chief of Staff Liman Sani Kila, Commissioner for Sports Development Professor Benjamin Gugon, Deputy Chief of Staff Barrister James Atung Kanyip, State Accountant Bashir Zuntu, and Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor Hafsat Aminu.
