Foreign minister says ready for 2027 elections, supports Bauchi APC leadership

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar has pledged support to the new leaderahip of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State.

He xplained that his political future come 2027 depends on the ability of his political camp to muster and mobilise a strong support for him.

He stated these when he addressed his political coordinators from across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State and the State Working Committee of APC separately in Bauchi.

Tuggar spoke through his Director General, Tuggar Foundation, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Tukura.

He stressed that, “As far as 2027 is concerned, it depends on your ability to muster enough support. If you are ready, I am very much ready.

“Since 2015 when we lost the election, we have retreated and watching from afar but working for the success of the party and the good of the people of the state. We did not aspire in 2019 and 2023 because we need to have a very strong base.”

He said “With the 2023 General elections over, it is time to work for the people using the little resources available to us. Yours is to go out, get the relevant stakeholders, mobilize and bring them into the party so that we can have a very strong political Base.

“From now on, we will always support the APC, we will take charge of running its affairs because our people are now in charge of the party. The APC is a very strong party and we must uphold it.

“Most of you here have been with me since the ANPP years then we moved to APP, then CPC and now APC, all along, you have remained committed and dedicated party men. Thank you for your support and commitment.

“We will continue to consult until we get to a point of declaration of interest to aspire. You have to work hard to build up a very strong support Base, without that, we can’t move on.”

At the APC state secretariat Tuggar told The Foreign Affairs Minister donated the sum of five million Naira( N5m) to support for the running of the State Secretariat of the APC promising that he will always contribute to the well-being of the party.

He also donated a brand new car to the new acting State Chairman of APC Alhaji Hassan Muhammed Tilde.

“It is not time for campaign, what we are doing to keep the spirit alive, is to let us know that we need to work towards whatever we want to do, now.”

The Women leader of the Tuggar Support movement, Hajiya Hadiza Dynamic commended the Minister for not abandoning his political followers, especially the women.

She explained that he had empowered many of them who are now supporting their various families through the little amount they are generating from their small businesses.

The Women Leader assured that they will work assiduously for the Minister in 2027 as soon as he decides to aspire for any elective office.

Majority of speakers at the party secretariat urged the members of the party to unite themselves and work together for the success of the party.

The State Chairman of the Party Alhaji Hassan Muhammed expressed his gratitude to the minister for his support to the party.
