Former PDP women leader Hadiza Adado dies in Kano, Atiku mourns

Hajia Hadiza was the Director-General of Women Affairs in Atiku's 2023 presidential campaign council

A former National Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hajia Hadiza Adado, has passed on.

Her husband Alhaji Yusuf Adado announced the death in a statement, noting that she died on Wednesday night after a brief illness, in Kano.

She has since been buried on Thursday after a funeral prayer in Fagge, Kano State.

The late Hadiza is survived by her husband, four children and many relatives.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is heavily disheartened by the news of the passing of Hajia Hadiza Adado.

Hajia Hadiza was the Director-General of Women Affairs in his 2023 presidential campaign council and a former Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a post on Facebook, Atiku described the late politician as “a superb team player who made a remarkable impact on our campaign and the PDP at large.

“My condolences go to her immediate family, especially her husband, Alhaji Yusuf Adado and the entire body of women agenda influencers in Nigeria.

“May the Almighty Allah accept her return and ease the burden of her loss on her family and associates. Amin.”
