FUD’s College of Medicine gets Medical and Dental Council accreditation

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the professional health regulatory agency for the professions of Medicine, Dentistry and Alternative Medicine in Nigeria, has given accreditation to the Pre-Clinical Program of the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Federal University Dutse.

The Registrar of MDCN, Dr. T.A.B Sanusi who conveyed the Council decision to the Vice-Chancellor , Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, congratulated the VC and the university for the positive accreditation result.

Dr. Sanusi said Council was satisfied with report of the accreditation visitation panel of December 21& 22, 2021 and that of 27th May, 2022.

The VC who expressed his gratitude to Allah over the result of the MDCN accreditation exercise thanked the management , staff and students for their cooperation and support throughout the accreditation period especially the Provost of the College, Professor Muhammad Sani Mijinyawa and the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Sanusi Chinade.

He said the positive accreditation result is a challenge to the university to double it efforts in ensuring standard and excellence in its medical program.

Prof.Abdulkarim also commended the accreditation team for a job well done.

It would be recalled that the National Universities Commission also gave Medicine & Surgery & 18 other programs of the university full accreditation in April 2022.
