Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen has been welcomed with enthusiasm and excitement, by thousands of Galatasaray fans who gathered at the Istanbul Airport, Turkey, to receive him on Monday.
In the videos making waves on the internet, fans were seen chanting his name and singing his praises upon arrival.
Osimhen completed a one-year loan move to the Turkish side after Galatasaray reached an agreement with Napoli.
This move follows unsuccessful transfer attempts to Al Ahli and Chelsea, as well as the arrival of Romelu Lukaku at Napoli, which would have sidelined Osimhen for several months.
The deal with Galatasaray offers a fresh chapter for the reigning African Footballer of the Year. Osimhen has agreed to join the Turkish club on loan for a fee of €9/10 million.
As part of the agreement, he successfully negotiated a reduction in his Napoli release clause from €130 million to €75 million and secured a January break clause, allowing him to explore offers from top clubs.
Upon his arrival, Osimhen celebrated with the fans and is expected to be officially unveiled soon.
