APC appoints Uba Sani, Sanwo-Olu, four other governors as zonal coordinators

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has been inaugurated by the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Umar Ganduje as the Coordinating Governor of the North-West.

Uba Sani was officially inaugurated alongside five other governors at the APC national headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

The five others are Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma (South East), Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (South West), Cross River Governor Bassey Otu (South South), Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (North Central), and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni (North East).

The Kaduna State governor who disclosed this in a statement on his social media handle on Wednesday, said their responsibilities include:

(1) To coordinate the Governors of the North – West to always identify with, and participate more in the activities of the party;

(2) Initiate periodic interface between the Governors of the North – West Zone and the leadership of the party;

(3) Liaise with the party to commence immediate process for genuine reconciliation of aggrieved party members in the North – West Zone;

(4) Mobilize Governors of the North – West Zone to effectively and physically participate in party activities within and outside the Zone;

(5) Consult with Governors of the North – West Zone on issues that will further enhance the progress and unity of the party within the zone; and

(6) Assist the party on Resource Mobilization within the North-West Zone.

The inauguration of 6 Governors to coordinate other Governors in their zones is part of the efforts by the National Leadership of APC to further build, coordinate and strengthen the party, as well as achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

We are grateful to the National Chairman of APC and members of the National Working Group (NWC) for this honour. We shall work assiduously to mobilize and unify our members, deepen internal democracy and prepare for future political contests.
