Hajiya Surayya Aminu, popularly known as Sai Mama, a Special Assistant to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has passed on in a car accident.
She was travelling along Ikare Road, Ondo State when the incident happened, Dateline Nigeria reports
In a condolence message, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who flagged off his governorship campaign at the Ondo Township Stadium on Saturday, said the tragic loss of Hajiya Surayya “leaves me in rude shock”.
He said “On behalf of the government and people of Ondo State, I convey my deepest condolences to her family, our party, and the government of Kano State.
“The tragic accident that claimed the life of Sai Mama, a strong woman who showed me great love and support when I was seeking the ticket of the party, leaves me devastated.
“Sai Mama embodied courage, love and care. She served with all her heart and brought ineffable joy to those who came her way.
“As much as it’s a sad thing, death is inevitable. I pray that Allah grant her the best of paradise and give the people she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.”
