Gombe gov visits Waja, Lunguda communities after hostilities

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has paid a sympathy visit to Nyuwar, Gelengetu and Jessu Communities over Friday’s hostilities between Waja and Lunguda in Balanga Local Government Area of the state.

The governor was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

The SSG in company of security heads and top Government officials expresse government concern over the re-occuring decimal appealing to the two faction to embrace peace.

He reiterated the need for peaceful co- existence among the Waja and the Lunguda communities adding government will not fold it arms and watched some unscrupulous elements take the law into their hands saying anyone found instigating trouble will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

The Government delegation also visited Internally Displaced People’s Camp (IDPs) in Jessu where the SSG assured of Government immediate intervention of food and other items required.

In all the place visited Professor Njodi preaches peace, patience, tolerance and a call for all parties in echiew bitterness for peace to reign.
