He noted that his administration has constructed five similar schools across the state in line with his vision to develop the education sector.

“We aim to revitalize and renovate the school, providing all the necessary facilities so that it can accommodate not fewer than 3000 students in a world-standard learning to deliver quality education to our young ones who are the future of our society”, he said.

The governor urged the contractors handling the project to fast-track the pace of the work so that it will be completed before the commencement of the new academic session.

In his response, the site manager overseeing the projects said the 1.7km road construction has reached about 95% level of completion, while other structures attained a significant level, assuring to work in line with the governor’s directive to deliver the project on time.

Also in his goodwill message, the principal of the school thanked Governor Inuwa Yahaya for rescuing the school from its erstwhile moribund condition.

“The school was in a sorry situation where students and birds were competing for space in the hostels, with no good classes, hostels, and students taking exams in the dining hall, etc. The school did not receive the needed attention from the previous administrations”, he recalled.
