Jigawa State Governor Mal Umar Namadi has assigned portfolios to 16 new commissioners confirmed by the Jigawa State House of Assembly.
This is contained in a statement by the governor’s media aide Hamisu Muhammad Gumel on Wednesday.
The new commissioners and their posts are: Ibrahim Babangida Umar (Budget and Economic Planning); Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad (Finance); Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa (Health); Aminu Kanta (Commerce); and Ahmed Garba MK (Local Government).
Others are Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa (Water Resources); Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo (Basic Education); Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo (Higher Education, Science and Technology); Sagir Musa Ahmed (Information, Youth, Sports and Culture): and Hadiza Abdulwahab (Women Affairs).
The rest are retired Col. Muhammad Alhassan (Lands and Regional Planning); Dr. Nura Ibrahim Dandoka (Environment); Engr. Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam (Works); Auwal Danladi Sankara (Special Duties); Musa Adamu Aliyu (Justice); and Muttaka Namadi (Agriculture and Natural Resources).
