
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has with immediate effect relaxed the curfew earlier imposed in the state in the wake of nationwide protest with an adjustment from 6pm to 6am pending further review.
This was made known by governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the commencement of the weekly executive council meeting presided by the governor at the council chamber as stated in a statement released by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
The governor said the relaxation of the curfew was further to a state security council meeting earlier held today that recommended the relaxation of view of the improvement of the security situation, peace and stability in the state.
Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf enjoyed people of the state to go about their normal businesses as the state government will be unrelenting in providing security to the lives and property of people of the state.
He used the opportunity to commend security operatives for their efforts in ensuring peace and order during the protest period.
