Contrary to the skepticism surrounding foreign trips, Governor Radda’s recent visits to the United Kingdom, the United States, South Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Rwanda, and participation in COP28 in Dubai have yielded tangible benefits for Katsina State, focusing on key areas such as health, technology, agriculture, education, and environmental conservation.
Governor Radda’s timely visit to the United Kingdom addressed a critical need in the state’s health sector. Collaborating with officials from the prestigious Welcome Sanger Institute in Cambridge, plans were set in motion to establish a center of excellence in Katsina for combating infectious diseases. This strategic move promises to significantly contribute to the reduction of preventable diseases not only within the state but on a national scale.
Similarly, the Governor’s trip to the United States resulted in a substantial donation of medical equipment worth $10 million from the World Medical Relief Incorporation, Detroit, Michigan.
